I have now had this Lens for a few months, and it has been excellent. I use it mainly for wildlife (Red Kites around us), as I had always use a zoom lens in the past which was always fully extended so I thought that I would go for a long prime lens for sharper images, and this lens works a treat. It also works well for things like dragonflies. Image quality is superb with good colour and is so sharp, even wide open at f4 although I mainly use it from f5.6 and smaller, depending upon available light. I have also used this Lens successfully with a Kenko PRO300 1.4TC on my Nikon D200, which turns it into a 420mm f5.6 Lens, and with the D200 crop factor taken into account you are getting a 630mm f5.6 Lens at a reasonable price. And with this power you can get some good shots of the Moon.
