Used Canon EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 IS USM Lens

I contacted Walters Photo Video to ask a couple of questions about a used Canon EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 IS USM Lens they had on their website. They responded within an hour and I went ahead with the purchase.

Less than 24 hours later the lens arrived.

It was very well packaged and is in immaculate 'good as new' condition.

Overall I'm very happy with my purchase and have no hesitation in recommending Walters Photo Video to others.

"Happy feet"

Gitzo tripod replacement feet are like hen's teeth - rare. Walter's personal customer service for such a small but viral part was excellent and not the usual dismissive, rote replies so beloved by many companies these days. From over 20 enquiry emails to suppliers around the UK, the reply was in the top 2 for actual usefulness :)

"BEST SERVICE EVER!"

After searching for a particular camcorder bag I noticed it was in the sale here and was by far the cheapest price, even including the postage. From start to finish the service was Exemplary in every way. I got emails every step of the way informing me of my order details, when the item had been despatched, when I would receive it, even down to an hour time slot and also got the same details texted to me on my mobile phone. I didn't expect this and was highly delighted with being able to know exactly when the item would be delivered without having to wait in all day. All I can say is it is the best customer service I have ever had in my life and I would highly recommend them to all and would not hesitate in placing another order with them. 5* service.

"Very impressed with their service"

Whilst a lot of other companies had this item in stock, delivery seemed to be problem for some reason. Not Walters; they had my item in stock at a very favourable price and promised delivery in 1-2 days.
I ordered on Monday early afternoon; by late afternoon I had a message to say it was despatched and late evening evening had another message telling what time they would be delivering on Tuesday.
I could not fault this service. Well done you guys, youve restored my faith in the British Shop-keeper!

"Fastest delivery ever"

This was my firts time on this site and I was very impressed. I had looked at Jessops and they had the item. I called them on delivery and they promised "Usually within 28 days" I placed my order with Walters having rung to make sure they had the item in stock and it was delivered in 22 HOURS! and I had chosen the lowest price delivery option.

"Manfrotto Tripod heads, Next day delivery to the hour!"

I was let down by another website after odering two Manfrotto 701HDV tripod heads. After 5 days I contacted them and they stated they only had one - I cancelled my order. I then found then on the Walters Photo website even cheaper with free delivery as I was spending over £150. I ordered them, got conformation emails for my order very quickly. Then I received emails stating my order would be with me tomorrow and even told me the hour it would be delivered. All happened exactly on time, I couldn't have asked for any more. Highly recommended.

"Quality service"

I have bought many things from many places and I have to say this experience has been a pleasurable one. There was a good description of the products on the website and it was easy to order. From order to delivery I was updated via email which kept me well informed and very importantly the items ordered arrived on time. For me, this was an expensive purchased which I was not taking lightly, I searched many site and opted for this one, next time this will be my first stop. If the prices are kept competitive, I will not go anywhere else and if Nikon release there new cameras soon I will probably purchase it here. Top site.

"Very easy to use"

Walters have one of the best, if not the best, web sites amongst all the UK photographic retailers. The display of what's in stock is helpful and (from my experience) accurate. Walters kept me informed with several emails as the order processed through their system. I was particularly impressed to get an email informing me that the item would be delivered between 14:13 and 15:13 - why can't all delivery companies do this? - and it turned up on time.

Walters' prices aren't always the most competitive, which is why I've given them 4 stars instead of 5 (and I'd give 4-and-a-half if I could) - but the shopping experience is second to none.

"Great supplier, excellent customer service"

I recently had the pleasure of ordering a tripod and head from Walters Photo & Video.

Unfortunately a bug on the card validation stage of the process left me unsure whether or not I had made a duplicate order. I must stress that the fault lay with with either Mozilla Firefox or NatWest bank, and had nothing to do with Walters, whose online process is very good indeed. I sent an email for clarification from Walters and was promptly reassured.

I then decided I wanted to change my order and emailed again, and this was handled extremely smoothly by Rik. The goods arrived as quickly as was possible and the communication throughout was exemplary.

To be even more awkward, I decided to return the ball head and again Rik dealt with this without quibble and I was refunded upon receipt. So there you see, I have inadvertently messed this poor company around like nobody's business and they have dealt with everything smoothly and politely.

I am thrilled with the tripod they supplied, especially so as they were the cheapest seller I found.

Special mention must go to Rik, who responds quickly and kindly. I would not hesitate to buy from Walters again, and would recommend them to anyone, they were refreshingly efficient, a pleasure to deal with, and faultless throughout. I'm glad to have found them.

I ordered this lens on Tuesday afternoon and promptly received and email confirming my order. I then received another telling me my product would be dispatched soon and then another to say the product was dispatched and on its way. On Wednesday at lunchtime the Postman arrived with my lens which was well packaged.

"Excellent service from helpfull staff"

I do not generally write reviews, but in this instance because the service was so good I thought I should let others know.

I purchsed a secondhand Canon EOS 1Ds mark2. The staffs description of the camera was absoultely correct. Also the price for a camera in this condition was the sheapest I could find after many weeks of searching various sites.

I made the transaction about mid day and the camera was delivered next day. Could not be better. Camera was very well packed to avoid damage in transit.

Came across Walters via www.camerapricebuster.co.uk. They were much cheaper than competitors and stocked only geniune UK parts.

Order process was super simple and they allow deliveries to other addresses that aren't the cardholder's. Emails let you the know the stage of your order at every step and the free courier delivery ensures the lens turned up safely ontime. The courier even texts you on the day of delivery with a 1 hour slot when they will deliver.

My lens turned up on time and in perfect condition in excellent packaging. Highly recommended and will be shopping with direct next time.

If only all shops were as good as this!

I rarely ever write reviews but I was so pleased with my last purchase from Walters Photo that I felt obliged to report it.

Not only did they have the cheapest price for a specific backpack, but also sent it via express next day delivery although I paid for a cheaper delivery method! The product arrived the next day in perfect condition.

I would definitely order from them again.

As a Professional Photographer I have dealt with many dealerships over the years I can honestly say that dealing with Walters Photo Video is like going to the local Old Corner shop, you are treated as a welcomed Customer rather than just another Shopper.
If you are part exchanging equipment you can cut a deal which is fair to both and delivery is fast and efficient including collection of your unwanted gear - all free shipping.
I have no hesitation if recommending them and in fact will continue to use them for all my major equipment requirements.

This company were amazingly helpful, dispatched the item within half an hour of the order being placed online. This company are in Wales and the lens arrived as promised (In Kent) on time the next day. The courier they use have a fantastic website and are very efficient. I was purchasing the lens from a different website and they failed to tell me the lens was out of stock, Walters had the lens in stock so I cancelled my other order and went with Walters, I wish I had used these guys from the start, a credit to internet shopping! I would definitely use them again and would recommend them to anyone, thanks for a fantastic service!

Thanks for your prompt attention to my order for a Sigma 150-500 zoom lens, Canon fit. Order placed after close-of-business on Monday 02/08/2010, I received a text message on Tuesday to say that the order had been despatched and a further text message this morning to say that delivery would be made between 10.04 and 11.04. The package arrived promptly at 10.09 !!!!! This is the FIRST TIME EVER that a courier has given me such a precise delivery time !!!! And kept their promise. I'm very impressed with your service and that of your courier. This is the first time that I've done business with you and I certainly plan to do so again in the future.

Not an enquiry - just a bouquet to you all. I'm a long time Internet shopper and I've never discovered an online shop as good as you. I'm impressed at the layout of your Website and the ease of finding a specific product. Then, when it comes to ordering, it's a super smooth operation. In addition, I've never before received so many advisory emails (and a text as well!) advising me of my order's progress. Finally, to have a carrier who can deliver within a 2 hour specified time slot is what I've been wanting all my Internet shopping life. You said delivery between 10.30 & 11.30 and Bingo! my order arrived at 10.55 - how good is that? I just wanted to thank you for the very speedy delivery of spare LP-E6 batteries that I ordered from you two days ago.

I'd looked at countless other retailers for them, and even Canon's professional service were unable to provide me any indication as to when they would be receiving stock.
