Family owned and run, we are commited to providing our customers with the very best service and pricing that we can possibly afford them.

My Grandfather started in business during the 30's as a pharmacist. I remember living over the shop as it was when my father worked with him, he's a pharmacist by trade also. However, as he sold an increasing amount of film and developer etc. my Dad decided to install a camera cabinet, this was before I was born. Mam and Dad bought the shop next to the pharmacy in 1984, knocked a doorway between the two and started Walters Photo Video. Since then we have opened five more shops; since Dad's retired we've also absorbed the old pharmacy at head office for extra space and an instore studio. Each shop has a photo-processing lab as well as normal camera sales. We've been involved in mailorder sales from the beginning; I personally have been answering the phones from the age of seven. We have had a website since you could have one, I think it was in the mid nineties, feel free to correct me. Now things are different, as with so many things in life; but... in many ways, nothing has changed. It all boils down to Choice, value and advice; that is exactly what we endeavour to provide our customers, many of whom come back to us from years gone and continue to do so. We don't pretend to be perfect... that's why two phrases are drummed into everyone who starts working with us : "if I dont know, I will find out" and "if we don't have it in stock, we will try to get it".
